  • Dan led the property tax relief effort for seniors and veterans
  • Dan has voted against repeated attempts to increase the income tax rate
  • Dan Cronin sponsored an amendment that would demand a 3/5th vote for any tax increase
  • Dan opposed the “gross receipts tax” that would have driven business out of Illinois

As DuPage County Board Chairman, Dan Cronin will continue the fight to keep taxes low

2009 – Opposed HB 174, which was to be the largest income/corporate tax increase in state history. Would have also imposed a new tax on state services

2004 – Voted Against SB 2112 which was advanced as property tax relief for seniors and homeowners, but failed to solve the problem of rising property taxes, shifting the tax burden onto others.
